The Italian National School of Administration (SNA)

The Italian National School of Administration is an institution of higher education and research supervised by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. Since its inception in 1957, its main task has been to select managers from/for the Public Administration and to attend to their training needs. The training courses provided by the SNA cover the civil servants' entire career cycle.

By encompassing research, training and knowledge sharing, the SNA is determined to establish its facilities as a centre of excellence. It aims at shaping the debate on a national and international level on the strategic issues concerning public sector reform and challenges of public administration. It focuses on seven strategic areas: Reform of Civil Service and Public Management; Technological Innovation and e-Government; Public Finance; Fiscal Federalism; Public Procurement and European Affairs. Through national and international experiences the SNA aims at exchanging know-how and training experience across the world.
